We are actively recruiting qualified, community-minded professionals to join our YouthSPARK! initiative as Mentors and Educators.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape and build the programs and the foundational structures that will sustain them. By joining now, contributors and partners play an active role in program design, curriculum development, and organizational governance, ensuring that community needs and values are reflected from the outset. Early involvement allows stakeholders to influence priorities, pilot innovative approaches, and establish best practices that will guide long-term growth and impact. Those who help build the foundation will leave a lasting legacy—creating scalable, resilient programs that empower individuals and strengthen the community for generations to come.

Mentors transform lives. By offering time, guidance, and belief, a mentor helps a young person build confidence, set goals, and develop the habits and skills that lead to success. This influence extends beyond the individual: mentored youth are more likely to stay in school, pursue meaningful careers, engage positively with neighbors, and contribute to safer, healthier communities. When young people thrive, families feel more secure, local schools benefit from higher achievement, and the civic and economic life of the neighborhood strengthens — creating a ripple effect that uplifts everyone.

Volunteer opportunities with the Reverend Ike Resource Center which can include one-to-one mentoring, tutoring, after-school program support, college and career coaching, and workshops on life skills and financial literacy are being planned and we look forward to working with volunteers to develop culturally responsive mentoring relationships.
